1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using WC26 ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

WC26 is a free prediction game for the 2026 international football finals. You fill a knockout bracket and predict the results of individual matches; your bracket points and match points fuse into a single leaderboard score. The Service is played for fun and bragging rights only.

WC26 is not a betting, wagering, or real-money gaming service. There is no money in or out, no wagers, no stakes, no odds, and no prize pools. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

3. Free to Play - No Real Money

WC26 is and remains free to play. By using the Service you acknowledge and agree that:

  • The Service is offered free of charge and involves no purchase to play
  • No real-money wagering, betting, or staking takes place on the Service
  • There are no cash prizes, prize pools, or payouts of any kind
  • Points, rankings, and standings have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed, transferred, or sold
  • The Service is for entertainment and friendly competition only

4. Playing as a Guest & Accounts

4.1 Guest Play

You can start playing as a guest without creating an account. Guest picks and standings are tied to your device session. You may later claim a permanent account, and your existing picks and standings carry over to it.

4.2 Account Creation

If you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Keep your credentials secure and confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4.3 Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the rights of others
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use the Service for spam, phishing, or fraudulent purposes
  • Collect user information without consent
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

6. User Content

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create or upload to the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and distribute your content as necessary to provide the Service.

6.2 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your content. We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of user content. We may remove content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned byWC26 and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without express written permission.

8. Independence, Trademark & Match Data

WC26 is an independent, fan-made prediction game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by FIFA or any football governing body, confederation, or national team. We claim no rights to, and do not use, any official tournament name, emblem, trophy, or team crest. References to teams use factual, public three-letter team codes and country names for the sole purpose of running predictions.

Match fixtures and results are factual information drawn from an official data feed and verified by our admins. They are used for prediction and scoring only. Scoring is server-verified and re-runnable; abandoned or walkover matches are voided for all players.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WC26 SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WC26, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Your content

12. Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which WC26 operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and WC26 regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
